Planning approval granted for exciting retail led scheme in Greenwich Town Centre

Posted: 20.09.2013

This week bptw’s proposals for Creek Road were given the go-ahead by RB Greenwich. An exciting retail led development with high quality apartments and mews houses in the centre of Greenwich, the project, by developer Family Mosaic, will provide 83 contemporary homes and 1,800 sq m of commercial floor space reinstating street frontages either side of the well known Up The Creek Comedy Club and extending the town centre’s retail opportunities westwards from Cutty Sark DLR.

It is envisaged that a number of boutique shops and cafes will occupy the ground floor with high quality residential apartments above. The development will also regenerate the adjacent Bardsley Lane which will be developed with contemporary mews  houses backing onto St Alfeges Park. The scheme was highly commended by the planning committee members:

“an imaginative development, congratulations to the architects”
“creates cohesion where previously there was a visual mess…an exemplary design”
“the developer is commended on the quality of their consultation”

Construction work on Creek Road is expected to commence in the new year.
