Planning approval for Chatham residential development

Posted: 18.08.2014

Upbury Way, designed on behalf of mhs homes, successfully secured planning approval this week. The proposed residential scheme situated in Chatham, Kent will see the redevelopment of an infill site into a small flat block of five units and a mews row of three houses, assisting in regenerating the local area.

The scheme, which was inspired by Historic Chatham, has been sensitively designed to enhance the surrounding area, with a gable elevation approach that complements the vernacular of Chatham and a clearly defined and distinct street frontage which seeks to consolidate the old and new developments situated along Upbury Way. The development has been configured to maximise daylight exposure to all units and includes landscaped courtyard parking for 11 vehicles as well as extensive cycle parking.
