Station Approach pulls in for completion
11th April 2012
bptw’s architects have seen the successful completion of their new scheme Station Approach, located in Pitsea, Essex. Working on behalf of Genesis Housing Association, the design team have worked within the existing Pitsea masterplan, prepared by GVA Grimley, to regenerate the area and provide further growth for the borough.
The development comprises 121 high quality residential apartments with a raised podium garden to the rear of the building and resident parking. On the ground floor five commercial units provide opportunities for local business, with the addition of a corner unit ideally suited for a café with open space for alfresco dining.
By engaging in a thorough consultation process with the council, stakeholders and residents, and with careful consideration to the surrounding context, the new designs for the Station Approach scheme vastly improve the visual appearance of the area and ensure the architectural continuity of the street.
