bptw to row the Thames in aid of the AHOY Centre

Posted: 16.05.2014

On June the 22nd, 12 members of staff from bptw shall be bravely taking to the River Thames to take part in The Meridian Challenge, rowing 8.5 miles in 2 wooden boats from the Houses of Parliament to Greenwich.  The row is expected to take between 1 and 2 hours to complete and will be a test of teamwork, strength and endurance.

As part of our commitment to make a positive contribution to society and our local community, we are supporting the AHOY Centre, a charity in Deptford which helps young people achieve nationally recognised RYA and British Rowing qualifications, develop essential life skills and build self- confidence through innovative water based activities and their ‘Shipmate’ programmes.
