bptw take to the water for the AHOY Centre

Posted: 06.05.2016

On Thursday 26th May, 12 members of staff will be battling along the River Thames as part of the Meridian Pull Challenge, an 8.5 mile row from the houses of Parliament to Greenwich. Split into two boats the teams will have to weather any challenges the course throws at them, aiming to cross the line with pride in a display of strength and endurance!

bptw is taking part in the race to support the AHOY Centre, a charity based in Deptford which helps young people achieve nationally recognised RYA and British Rowing qualifications, develop essential life skills and build self-confidence through innovative water based activities and their ‘Shipmate’ programmes.

Both teams have been out on the water, training hard so as to master the technique and rhythm crucial to success on the day. To follow our journey and support our fundraising efforts for the AHOY Centre, please visit https://www.justgiving.com/oarsomebptw2016
