Tramway House, Erith

Client: Orbit Housing Group

Tramway House comprises 23 new apartments of affordable accommodation for older people in Erith. Located on a key landmark site opposite Erith Station, the development offers residents breathtaking views over the River Thames. Apartments are arranged around a south-facing, fully landscaped courtyard and provide homes with the benefit of a private outdoor space in the form of a sunspace balcony.

Built to Lifetime Homes Standards, apartments benefit from generous living areas, offering 73 sqm of space, with one double bedroom and a single bedroom, ideal for a guest or carer. High-quality external finishes include terracotta tiling and timber cladding. Tramway House was developed using off-site construction principles with the use of volumetric units, steel frames and innovative piling systems, allowing the project to run well ahead of programme, resulting in vast cost savings for the client.
