Lymington Place, Barking

The former brownfield site at Lymington Place, Barking, now provides over 600 residential units in a mix of family houses and apartments. Appointed to deliver the masterplan and scheme design for phase 1, bptw worked collaboratively to address local housing need in the Barking and Dagenham Borough. The scheme provides options for local residents including shared ownership, general needs rent, private sale and key worker units, with some units being adapted for wheelchair use.

New homes are built around shared green spaces for interaction and relaxation. The scheme incorporates a shared sports pitch and land allocated for a two form entry primary school and health facility at the heart of the site. The project is being delivered in phases with the first phase of 193 homes completed and homes now sold and occupied.
