Acton Gardens, Ealing

This scheme forms part of the regeneration of the South Acton Estate, Ealing’s largest housing estate on which bptw delivered the post-planning designs on 2 phases of the scheme. On phase 3.1, bptw delivered 124 apartments in four buildings ranging from eight to ten storeys in height, along with commercial space. The development features a mix of two contrasting brick types as well as metal and glazed balconies, additionally some apartments have roof terraces. Homes offer a mix of tenures, including wheelchair adapted units, and meet Lifetimes Homes and Secured by Design standards.

Actons Gardens Phase 3.2 consists of 115 homes in a mix of apartments and family town-houses. In addition to acting as delivery architect on both phases of the scheme, bptw also delivered the marketing suite show flat working drawings. Situated close to South Acton station, the development will feature a public square known as Station Square which will house a wall comprised of artwork chosen by local residents. When complete the project will deliver 2,500 new homes in a connected urban community.
