bptw has a leading reputation for implementing effective and structured community engagement programmes. We recognise that managing stakeholders and ensuring their interests and concerns are addressed is an essential part of the planning process which will take on an increased importance as the localism agenda gathers momentum.
Often appointed as an extension of our services, we also undertake stand-alone community engagement commissions. We utilise a range of communications tools, community events and exhibitions that have built and maintained good relations throughout projects. Our approach to community consultation is based around pro-active participation and engagement. Through this we are able to inform local stakeholders and communities, encourage local ‘champions’ and, ultimately, demonstrate how the views of the community have helped shape development proposals, leading to a smooth passage through the town planning process and a successful outcome for our clients.
